This product is fabulous and has been invaluable to me during the pandemic. I am African American and have lots of 4b hair. Whoever says this doesn't work on heavily textured hair over 3c probably isn't doing it right. It's really the inside back of the comb that's got the heat, just like a pressing comb, so you have to really apply some tension... put your back into it! Hold the end of your hair tight and then start at the roots. Don't just comb it through like a regular comb, hold it and slowly pass it through your hair for like 5 to 7 seconds from root to tip. Use small sections. You might need a couple of pass throughs, but honestly, when I was done I looked like I just came out of the salon!
For me it takes me about an hour and 15 minutes, my hair is almost to the middle of my back. Make sure you use some heat protectant, I use this argan oil heat protectant before I blow dry, and my hair doesn't turn out greasy at all, it's like a silk press.
